Griffin Releases Aluminum Stand for the Apple iPad
      #36657 - 04/06/10 10:52 PM

Griffin Technology today announced their new A-Frame multi-position tabletop stand for iPad. The company also announced new versions of their popular PowerBlock AC wall charger and PowerJolt DC car charger, updated for iPad. The new devices join Griffin's line-up of now available accessories for iPad.

A-Frame
A-Frame is a heavy-duty brushed aluminum stand for desk and tabletop use. Open A-Frame into the upright position and secure your iPad inside its soft silicone cradle for easy reading and web browsing. Strategically-placed grooves in the cradle allow sound to play from iPad without obstruction. Turn iPad to landscape mode and A-Frame provides the perfect base for viewing videos or browsing photos. In either configuration, A-Frame's soft silicone cradle is designed to accommodate cases for iPad from Griffin and many others, while allowing full access to the dock connector for charging and syncing.

A-Frame is a simple and versatile solution for email, word processing, photo editing and other input-heavy uses. Fold A-Frame closed, lay it on any flat surface, and the stand provides wrist support while positioning iPad at the optimum angle for comfortable typing and gaming. When finished, just pick it up; A-Frame stores easily and travels well. A-Frame is a beautiful, essential complement to iPad for every user, wherever they use it.

PowerBlock for iPad
Griffin's best-selling AC charger is now available for iPad in a new 2.1 amp capacity for fast, safe charging. PowerBlock features a slim design, with fold-flat, non-polarized blades that fit easily in wall outlets and power strips. A green LED indicates PowerBlock is connected properly and ready to charge from any AC outlet, 100V-240V. The included detachable cable can be used as an extra dock connector cable for iPad. Also compatible with iPhone and iPod.

PowerJolt for iPad
PowerJolt sports a low-profile 12V power adapter and a powerful 2.1 amp charging circuit so that iPad can power up quickly and safely. An LED ring glows green, indicating PowerJolt is connected properly and ready to charge. PowerJolt's built-in, self-resetting SmartFuse means no fuses to replace, ever.

PowerDuo for iPad, a combination package that includes both PowerBlock for iPad and PowerJolt for iPad with a detachable dock connector cable, will be available later this month.
