As expected, Apple has released the iOS 4.1 update, announced by Steve Jobs last week, for iPhone and iPod touch.
New features in the update include the hotly anticipated Game Center, as well as the tepidly anticipated TV rental feature. It also fixes performance problems on the iPhone 3G and proximity sensor problems on the iPhone 4, and it adds the HDR photo feature for iPhone 4 users.
iOS 4.1 is now available as a free download through iTunes by connecting your compatible device and clicking the "Check for Updates" button.
