Nokia today made an announcement that the Nokia N8 will start shipping in October to pre-order customers. Here is more info from Nokia's announcement today:
We have received a record number of online pre-orders for the Nokia N8. We had targeted our online pre-order customers to receive their N8s by the end of September. As it can take time from the beginning of shipment to arriving at their doorstep, in full transparency, we have advised our pre-order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October.
The Nokia N8 features a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor that rivals those found in compact digital cameras, as well as the ability to record and edit HD-quality videos and plug the device into a home theater system with an HDMI cable.
