What set of bluetooth stereo headsets are the most waterproof?
I currently use a Motorola Cliq as my cellphone and music player. I am also a very big into water sports and an avid Kayaker. I would like to find a good quality set of bluetooth stereo headsets so I can place my phone in a watertight location. I'd like to find a set that could survive a spill or two.

Here are two different headsets that I think would work for you:

2. http://www.vendio.com/stores/Dealtronics...roduct%20Search

Let me know what you think.

Thank you very much for the information JJ29. It's nice to know that there is a true waterproof version out there on the market. The waterproof set looks like a modified version of the Motorokr S9, which doesn't get the same reviews as the Samsun-SBH500. This doesn't surprise me since the Motorokr looks to be the most rugid out of all the stereo headsets. I'm curious on how the Samsun-SBH500 fair in getting wet.
Anybody ever soak there headsets by accident? How did they work afterwards?

I wouldn't want to get the Samsung SBH-500 wet. Given the padded earpads that would get soaked and the delicate electronics inside, I'd avoid a dunk. Now some modest splashing would probably be OK.

I have to agree with you LisaG, the Samsung SBH-500 don't look like they would survive a dunk in the water. I believe I'm going to bank on the modest splashing, and pick up a set. I'd like to wait until the quality improves before buying a true waterproof set. I just can seem to get past the quality vs the price on the Samsung headsets. And can easily buy two sets for the price of one waterproof set. I'll keep the thread posted on the durablity, and resiliance to water.

I had a Samsung-SBH500, and it broke pretty easily even without getting wet.

Well, I bought a set of Samsung-SBH500 headsets and used them all summer Kayaking. They never seemed to distort or cut after hard rain and the occasional overspray. I never did get them completely soaked, but I'm sure that they would withstand a soaking like any non-water proof headsets would. I do have to mention that my Motorola Cliq didn't fair out as well after a dip in the lake, though it did last for about two months after, the touchscreen went. After my cliq bit the dust I used the headsets on a simple Motorola W490 and it worked great. It didn't work so well with the Blackberry Curve I used momentarily.

You had a way more fun summer than I did! Thanks for the update on both the SBH-500 and the unfortunate Motorola Cliq.
