My family plan AT&T contract ends 12/20/2010. Looking at the following options:
Motorola Defy (love the IP67 rating)
T-mobile Mytouch 4G
T-Mobile G2
Sprint Optimus S
AT&T Motorola Bravo
HTC Aria
So far, for our family plan T-mpobile is the lowest cost ($20 per month savings) over AT&T and Verizon. Sprint's about $10 more.
Here in NC, we have 6 4G areas for T-mobile including the city where I live so I should have good coverage.

My personal picks are the T-Mobile G2, the myTouch 4G and the HTC Aria from the models you listed. The Defy is a nice phone as well if you need a water resistant smartphone.
