Astounded that Nokia is still releasing Symbian OS devices after their switch hitter announcement that they would be batting for Windows Phone 7? Don't be; Nokia has said Symbian isn't going anywhere just yet, and to that end we have the Nokia Astound for T-Mobile US, a re-named Nokia C7.
The Astound is nearly identical to the Nokia C7 sold overseas, and it runs Symbian ^3, Nokia's most recent touch OS. Features include a 3.5" AMOLED capacitive display running at 640 x 360 pixels, an 8 megapixel camera (and you know Nokia cameras are excellent), 8 gigs of storage, a microSD card slot and 3G on T-Mobile's network.
The phone has a YouTube player, can record 720p video and it has WiFi with support for WiFi calling, a front 1.3MP camera that works with Qik video chat and it's only 10.5mm thick. The phone makes liberal use of metal for that quality feel we love. Bluetooth and GPS? Yep.
The Nokia Astound will sell for $79.99 with contract and it will be available April 6. Stay tuned for our review in the coming days.
