Sprint announces EVO 3D Android Phone
      #40265 - 03/22/11 01:08 PM

We're still here and going strong at CTIA where Sprint is now holding a press event. Given the leaks, this smartphone may not be a surprise, but it's still one heck of a phone.

The EVO 3D is a beast of an Android superphone, with a glass-less 3D display, 1.2GHz dual core CPU and Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense software. It has a 4.3" display, WiMAX 4G, a front 1.3MP video chat camera and dual rear 5MP shooters for 3D capture. There's a 2D-3D switcher on the phone's side.

Not bad Sprint, just when the HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon was catching up to the EVO, you hit us with this bad boy.

No word on pricing or exact release date yet, but we expect it in late spring or early summer.
