Ever wanted to to test out how a real gun works against targets, now you can with Mastiff's new game Reload. With real weapons, you take out targets and reload in a intense arcade style game.
The gameplay for Reload is pretty simple and involves taking out targets and reloading at strategic times. Unfortunately, there aren't that many game modes but there's a ton of weapons to keep you hooked to the game. The controls are easy to use and involve tapping: you tap on the screen where you want to aim, on the bottom left-and corner there is a shoot button and top-tight a reload button. All these controls can be activated by simple taps or sliding your finger across the screen (aiming) and work efficiently.
During the game, targets will pop-up randomly and you have to take them out by shooting. Headshots are instant kills and award you more points, but headshots takes a little more time to get and costs time in the end. Once you defeat all the targets, if you have time left you get to earn bonus points. The targets in the game are cardboard cut-outs and their appearance changes as the level progresses. There are many different shooting ranges, and each will require a certain type of weapon like snipers or desert eagles. There?s a ton of weapons available for use and you can unlock them by beating the levels. There is also OpenFeint integration for leaderboards which adds to length of the game.
Graphics & Sound
The graphics are not very good and does not support retina display. There are plenty of ?characters? but all are dull and the cardboard cut-out theme makes it worse. Retina display would make the graphics a lot better, and make the game more fun to play.
The music is great and is very fun to listen to while shooting. It gets you in the shooting mood and iPod music support is included.
Reload is a great shooting game but require some more polish on the graphics and could use one more game mode. The game has a lot of content to offer and it is fun to delve into the game and enjoy yourself. The game is a bit pricey though.
