      #41188 - 08/19/11 02:48 PM

Just in time for back to school purchases, beginning Sunday, ATT will sell Amazon's Kindle 3G with Special Offers in ATT company-owned retail stores nationwide for $139. And, Kindle is more valuable than ever for students, with the new Kindle Textbook Rental feature, which enables students to lighten their textbook load while saving up to 80 percent off textbook list prices by renting from the Kindle Store. Kindle Textbook Rental offers the ability to customize rental periods to any length between 30 and 360 days, so students only pay for the specific amount of time they need a book.

Certainly a good deal, but considering the Kindle 3 was introduced 357 days ago (not to mention the public's growing desire for a touch-screen Kindle), this is probably not the time to buy a Kindle if you are concerned about having the latest and greatest model.
