iPhone Case Review: Brando Leather Postcard Pouch for iPhone 4

What's Hot: Unique and convincing design, soft leather, comes in two colors.

What's Not: Might not fit the iPhone 4 with another slim case.

File this under novelty and unique, Brando has released a leather pouch for the iPhone 4 that's fashioned in express letter envelope style. The Brando Leather Postcard Pouch for iPhone 4 is a playfully designed pouch case that fits the iPhone 4, iPod touch and several older iPhone models as well. The case is made with soft leather and comes in two colors: brown and white.

Design

The Brando Leather Postcard Pouch certainly has a very unique design and comes in a gift box. The leather pouch opens like an envelope and has a strong magnetic coin closure. The pouch feels very soft in hand, and the leather looks sufficiently stressed. One side of the pouch has an extra insert to provide more protection for the screen, and the closure flap also has a rigid insert. The pouch case isn?t too thick but it can certainly help prevent scratches or bumps to your iPhone 4 in a bag or backpack. The case has a soft lining and quality stitching.

The Leather Postcard Pouch case for iPhone 4 comes in brown and white, two popular colors for envelopes. The brown pouch has more leather look to it, and dirt and grease are less noticeable than on the white pouch. The front of the Leather Postcard Pouch has postal style stamp prints that look very convincing, and is complete with mailing address (a fake one, of course) engraved into the leather. Both front and back of the pouch have postal express mail ribbon printed on the edges to complete the illusion of an envelope.

Features

When the case is new, the Leather Postcard Pouch fits the iPhone 4 perfectly, but it?s unlikely it will fit the iPhone 4 with a bumper case or a slim case, at least not when it?s new. It is possible the leather pouch will stretch out more as with most leather cases and will allow you to use it with another slim case. Otherwise you will need to use your iPhone 4 without other protection outside of the Leather Postcard Pouch. The pouch fits the iPod touch as well and any phone or device similar to the size of the iPhone 4.

The Leather Postcard Pouch for iPhone 4 has a magnetic closure on the tip of the back closure flap. It?s strong enough to keep the case shut even you throw your iPhone 4 in a bag with other loose items.

Conclusion

The Brando Leather Postcard Pouch for iPhone 4 is a protective case for carrying your phone in a bag or backpack, and it makes a fun and romantic gift. The design is very convincing, and the pouch fits the iPhone 4 perfectly. The soft leather feels very nice and the interior lining is also very soft. You might not be able to use it with a slim case though, at least not when it?s new, which means you will use the iPhone 4 naked while it?s not in the pouch.
