What's Hot: Slim and light, built-in stands and hand straps that are very convenient and easy to use.
What's Not: The surface is a little too smooth perhaps.
Zenus Case USA makes high quality synthetic leather cases for select tablets and smartphones including the iPhone 4, iPad 2, Galaxy tablets, Galaxy S II smartphones and more. These cases look convincingly like real leather, but carry lower prices than real leather cases. The Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 Leather Case in "Masstige" Color Edge 2 Band series is one of the most functional cases in Zenus' case collection with hand straps and built-in stands. The case is also quite slim and light, and comes in two color options: Real Black and Candy Pink.
The Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 Edge 2 case has a very nice design that provides the tablet plenty of protection yet keeps the case relatively thin. The faux leather case has a smooth surface with an interesting pattern, and blue accents that match the interior color. The case opens like a portfolio style with a tablet holder on the right and a screen cover on the left. A closure band with a magnetic snap secures the case shut. Both the tablet holder and the screen cover have strong inserts, and your Galaxy Tab 10.1 can withstand some serious pokes and bumps while in your travel bag or backpack, as well as some shock should you drop the tablet. The form fitting tablet holder keeps the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in place with curved edges and two edge claws that?s very firm.
The interior of the Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 Masstige Edge 2 case has soft microsuede-like lining that won?t scratch your tablet when you put it on or take it out of the case. On the inside of the screen cover you will find two built-in stands and two hand straps that?s made with Chamude, a soft faux leather material. The Real Black case comes with sky blue interior and accents, and the Candy Pink version comes with light gray interior and accents.
Some cases have hand straps; others have built-in stands. The Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 case comes with both. The design is really ingenious: all stands and hand straps fold flat on the inside of the screen cover, but when you need them, pull a stand out to prop up the tablet. The Zenus case offers two separate stands, the longer stand can prop up the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in a more upright position for media viewing; and the shorter stand can position your tablet in a typing with on-screen keyboard angle. Both stands feel steady while holding up the tablet, and it?s quite easy to use them. Two hand straps flank the stands on either side, and they have elastic straps that allow you to insert your hand into the straps to hold the tablet in one hand. The straps retract to flat position when you take your hand away.
The Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 Edge 2 case also has cutouts for all buttons, ports, speakers as well as rear camera. The tablet holder has a large bottom cutout for the charging/syncing port and the bottom mic, and a perfect camera hold on the back to give you access to the rear camera and flash. The case doesn?t cover all the way up on the top of the tablet, leaving the power button and volume buttons exposed for access. It does have a small half circle cut for the audio jack, and you should have no trouble using any headphones or speaker plugs. The case also leaves out the speakers on the sides to let the sound through.
The Zenus Galaxy Tab 10.1 Faux Leather Case in the Masstige Color Edge 2 Band series is one of the most functional cases we?ve seen for this tablet. It not only provides great protection for the tablet, but also gives you two stands (in different viewing angles) and hand straps for holding the tablet in one hand. The faux leather looks very nice and the case is slim and weighs only 16 oz. We like the two-tone design and cutouts for everything you need to use on the tablet.
