Sorry, folks. This time, it's not a hoax.
Apple and several other sources have confirmed that Jobs, aged 56, has died.
Jobs was a cofounder of Apple, and he revitalized the company when he returned as CEO in 1996. He recently resigned his post after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Our thoughts are prayers are with his family.

Though it comes as no surprise, I'm still speechless. In his relatively short life, he changed the world of technology if not the world itself.
RIP, Steve Jobs.

I agree. Steve's genius has benefited millions. This is very sad news, made even worse by coming on the same day as an unrelated Cupertino shooting.
