It's iPhone 4S launch day, and you know what that means, long lines at the Apple Store, lots of smiling faces and of course, our video review. The iPhone 4S is available on ATT, Sprint and Verizon, oh happy day, so almost everyone can get an iPhone 4S for their carrier. Sadly, T-Mobile users are still left out of the loop.
The latest iPhone looks just like the last generation iPhone 4, but the internals are very different. The phone runs on a dual core A5 CPU vs. the single core A4 used in the iPhone 4, and GSM users can enjoy HSPA 14.4Mbps speeds. We look at the AT&T version in this video review, so we really get to test those faster download speeds. We're pretty impressed, and are averaging 5Mbps down, which is about 2x faster than our iPhone 4. Sprint and Verizon customers on CDMA networks won't see these speed increases since the phone runs on the same 3G EV-DO Rev. A network as the iPhone 4 on Verizon.
Here's our iPhone 4S video review. Our full written review will follow in a day or two.
