Sena Cases has been making good quality leather cases for mobile devices for quite a long time. They use premium leather and tailor cases to fit their intended devices. Sena offers several leather cases for the iPhone 4S in different styles and each case model comes in different colors. The WalletSlim case for the iPhone 4S/4 is a form fitting case that's very functional. It offers additional credit card/business card slots and comes in 4 solid colors in smooth leather and 2 colors in croco leather.
We've used quite a few Sena cases over the years with several devices, and have always enjoyed the quality leather that feels nice in hand and looks good on the device. The WalletSlim case for iPhone 4S is no exception. The case comes in two leather versions: a very smooth soft leather and a croco leather style design. The smooth leather version comes in black, light brown, dark brown and red, while the croco leather version comes in black and red. The Sena WalletSlim case has a solid structural support for the iPhone 4S thanks to the rigid back that has stiff inserts between the leather layers. The case is easy to use thanks to the top loading design: just open the snap and slide your iPhone 4S into the form fitting case.
The Sena WalletSlim case has smooth leather on both interior and exterior. The full grain Italian Napa leather has super smooth surface that's also very shiny and slippery. It looks classy but I've never dropped my iPhone 4S more times while using this case than any other case. However thanks to the strong "back support", the iPhone 4S can survive drops just fine as long as another pokey that can crack the display on impact. The case covers the sides of the iPhone 4S and wraps around to cover the front edges as well. So it's quite safe to put your iPhone face down on a table as the case will touch the surface instead of your iPhone's display. The only vulnerable part on the iPhone 4S while in the Sena case is the top right corner where the opening leaves the corner exposed while providing easy access to the rear camera and making it easier to use the card slots.
There are two card slots on the back of the Sena WalletSlim case. They have just enough room for a credit card in each slot or a couple of business cards, and with the cards inside, the slots don't add too much bulk to the phone.
The Sena WalletSlim case for iPhone 4S/4 is a very functional case. You can use the phone to make and receive calls without taking your phone out of the case as it has cutouts for the earpiece, front camera and sensor as well as the Home button on the front. The case also has cutouts on the bottom perfectly aligned with the 30-pin connector and the bottom mic and speaker. The back cover extends out a bit and it's a bit longer than the iPhone 4S. You should have no trouble using any cable connecting to the 30-pin connector, but for docking stations and audio accessories, you will need to make sure the docking connector is tall enough to accommodate the extra length. In our tests, the iPhone 4S fitted about half of our accessories with docking connectors while in the Sena case.
The WalletSlim case has a side cutout for the volume buttons, and the silence button is exposed as well for easy access. The snap tab covers the top left area of the iPhone 4S, but not the corner. The tab has a fitted cutout for the 3.5mm audio jack and the top mic. As mentioned, the top right corner is exposed, leaving the power button and the rear camera and flash for easy access. The snap closure is an interesting design as it's easy to use the case and the snap is robust.
The Sena WalletSlim case for iPhone 4S is a slim and form fitting case that's also good looking. The leather feels nice in hand and the case is very functional, especially you need a couple of card/bill slot for a quick trip around the corner or a jog. The case has an ultra sturdy back that protects the iPhone 4S from shock and drop, and you might just need it because this is one of the slipperiest cases we've ever tested. The croco leather design might add some traction. We do like the color options as they all look classy and attractive.
