Thanks Lisa. I really enjoyed the comparison. My interest is for a wifi model only. The samsung can be purchased online, but is pricey at about 570 dollars, which puts it costlier than the new ipad 16gb, and only 30 dollars less than the 32gb ipad, and the moto is 170 less than the samsung buying directly from Moto. I really wanted to keep the display around 8 inches as is easier to handle, but is hard to justify the price compared to the new ipad. My main useage is playing games and a bit of websurfing. Most important is to have a good smooth user experience for the money spent. Your opinion would be appreciated. Thanks.

Both are quite good tablets, and I wouldn't mind owning either. The Samsung is a bit snappier. But is that work $170? Probably not.

Thank you for your candid input.Since the samsung's price point is within the range of the new ipad 32gb which would chose for home gaming and websurfing? Which do you think would give the best user experience? Do not want to put you on the spot, would would appreciate your candid opinion. Thanks.

Beyond any strong preference for Android vs. iOS, there's the size difference. That's pretty important. Do you want something that's going to fit into a large pocket or a big 10" tablet? I'd say you should go with the size you had in mind-- there are always tablets that have a better price to feature ratio, but if they don't fit the use cases you had in mind, they still aren't the right tablet. Since you mention keeping the size down to 8", I had to mention this.

For gaming and web surfing at home, they'll both do a fine job. When at home, I use 10" tablets since I don't have to fit them into a pocket or bag. The fonts are larger and it's just easier to navigate. I like 7" tablets for eReading and on the road. The iPad does have a wider selection of games, and that sounds important to you.

How about Adobe Flash? Do you care about that? If so, it's back to Android.
