Asus Infinity vs. Acer A700 smackdown
      #42886 - 06/26/12 12:05 AM

Just a suggestion for your next smackdown line-up. The Asus Transformer Infinity vs. the Acer A700. Both high res. 10.1" Android tablets that look like they'd fare well against the "new" iPad.

We'll definitely have a smackdown between the Acer Iconia Tab A700 and Asus Transformer Infinity if we can hold onto our Acer review unit long enough. The Asus isn't due out until the middle of July and Asus sometimes misses ship dates.

I would also love to see this comparison since I was trying to decide between the Acer Iconia Tab A700 & the Toshiba Excite 10... then I saw an article about the new Asus Transformer Infinity & now I'm on hold again!

Honestly, the Transformer Infinity TF700 beats both the Toshiba Excite 10 and Acer Iconia Tab A700 for performance, materials and display. My pick would be the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700, Toshiba Excite 10 and in third place the Acer Iconia Tab A700. I still like the Excite for materials (metal and Gorilla Glass) and ergonomics (it's light and thin yet more comfortable to hold and USB is separate from the charging port) and stability, but the TF700's sharper full HD display is a big selling point and it has top notch materials in a thin and light design. The Acer A700 is heavier and feels slower than the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 and Toshiba Excite 10.
