Lisa, I think I have narrowed my search for a device down to either the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist, or the Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500t. I thought I was sold on the Twist, but I read some reviews about how the hinge isn't very sturdy. I also watched some videos where people were touching the screen (not in tablet form) and the screen was bouncing pretty good.
My biggest issue with the Twist is no pen. I really think that having a pen with a full windows tablet would be very helpful in clicking those little buttons all over (never used a windows 8 device..so I am just guessing).
My biggest issue with the Samsung is something that I think only you can help me with (I've tried google with no luck). My wife will be using the tablet a lot and she wants to be able to play her facebook games without any problems. Can the 500t handle that (I know android tablets cannot..or couldn't). I have heard the ATOM processors cannot really handle multitasking, does that include say having multiple facebook games open and more tabs for say email, football, craigslist and whatever else open? We're not going to be installing games on here, but maybe like bible programs (such as e-sword). Will this tablet be able to handle all of that?
Thanks for all of your help Lisa.

Yes, the Intel Atom still ins't the sharpest knife in the drawer. And the 2 gigs of RAM limitation means you can't do a lot of serious multi-tasking. It can certainly handle several tabs in the browser, but I'm not so confident about multiple Facebook Adobe Flash games at once (one at a time, yes). Bible apps shouldn't be a problem.

Neither sounds perfect since the Twist has the horsepower but lacks the pen while the ATIV 500T is adequate but might be a little underpowered if you want several Flash games going at once. If you're OK with one Flash game in the browser at a time plus multiple other tabs for things like Craigslist then the ATIV 500T would work. Anything with more horsepower plus a digital pen is going to cost several hundred dollars more (like the Samsung ATIV 700T or the MS Surface Pro). You could shop around and see if you can find last year's Samsung Series 7 Slate (2nd gen Core i5) at a similar price to the Twist and 500T. It has a Wacom digital pen. http://www.mobiletechreview.com/notebooks/Samsung-Series-7-Slate.htm
