Cygnett offers a wide variety of cases for the Samsung Galaxy S4 including some of their long running signature series cases. The Feel series comes in a soft touch finish and four pastel-like colors in addition to the black. The case is form fitting and very easy to snap on and take off. The Feel case protects the back and sides of the Galaxy S4 and comes with a screen protector for the front glass.

Design

The design of the Cygnett Mint Feel Case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is simple yet very functional. The hard shell case molds to the shape and curves of the Galaxy S4 very nicely and it's coated with rubberized finish. The case feels soft and not slippery at all. It covers the back and the long vertical sides of the smartphone, and the sides are raised to create a barrier to prevent the display panel touching surface when you put the phone face down. Another nice design that helps protect your phone better is the back camera cutout: it rises a bit higher than the camera lens for those who are afraid that they might scratch the camera when they put the phone down on a rough surface, the case will touch the surface instead of the camera lens. Nice!

The Cygnett Mint Feel Case is very easy to operate, slide the phone in on one side and push the other side into the case lightly. Release one side and take the phone out, no struggling or fingernail breaking involved. The five available colors make the case look interesting. In addition to the black, the case also comes in pastel-like colors including Mint (gree), Charcoal (grey), Lilac (purple) and Fairy Floss (pink). Cygnett designed these complex colors in reference to what they called "retro sixties" colors, and from the Mint Feel case, you can see the color referenced back to the 50s Chevy and 60s sea foam green Telecaster guitar.

Features

The Cygnett Mint Feel Case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 has well designed cutouts. The case leaves most of the top and bottom sides open to give you easy access to the audio port, charging port and mics. The case has cutouts on the sides of the phone to give you access to the power and volume buttons. These cutouts have tapered curves that make them easier to use and they're aligned perfectly with the buttons.

The rear cutouts include a camera cluster cutout that frames the raised camera lens and flash perfectly. As mentioned the cutout protects the lens with raised height and the cutout doesn't obscure the view of the camera and gives the flash enough room to fully illuminate. The Cygnett Mint Feel Case has a rear cutout for the speaker as well that's perfectly aligned with the grill.

The Cygnett Mint Feel Case comes with a screen protector that covers the entire front of the Galaxy S4 and it has cutouts for the front hardware button and the top earpiece, sensors and LEDs. The screen protector covers the touch menu buttons which all work fine under the protector.

Conclusion

Very slim and light, the Cygnett Mint Feel Case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a great case for those who are looking for something that's grippy but adds very little bulk to your ultra slim S4. The case feels great in hand, it's very easy to use and very accessible. If you're partial to pastel colors, like this one found on some vintage Chevys or guitars, you'll like the look and feel of this case.
