Verizon today released the Global Ready CASIO G'zOne Commando 4G LTE Android rugged phone that's designed to withstand extreme and unpredictable shock, water, dust, vibration, salt fog and humidity conditions. Here's more info:
The enhanced G'zGear multi-sensor tool is used to build a database of the natural world. By tapping into the app, users are updated with the latest barometric tracking technology, earth compass, sun/moon displays, temperature comparisons, tide views, constellation gazer, and virtual trail functions. And, with Live G, outdoor enthusiasts can engage directly with other G'zOne users around the globe to share their findings.
The G'zOne cameras include an 8-megapixel rear facing camera with 1080p HD recording and slow motion capture. The 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera is ideal for video chatting and also lets users taking selfies on their travels. If users wear gloves during their adventures, they can still capture photos or navigate the smartphone's touch screen with Glove Mode.
The Global Ready CASIO G'zOne Commando 4G LTE will be available online and in Verizon Wireless stores starting June 27 for $99.99 after $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
