Cygnett offers the FitGrip case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 in four colors, black, pink, white and lime green. The case stands out in its curved-side design and the bold colored back. The Cygnett FitGrip is a very protective case and it's easy to install the phone in the case and take it out. The case is also very functional and it comes with a film protector for the front glass.

Design

The Cygnett FitGrip for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a hybrid case that combines two layers of material to protect the phone against scratches, bumps and even drop damages. The case molds a layer of sturdy silicone that covers the back and all sides of the phone with a polycarbonate hard cover for the back. The phone makes contact with only the silicone interior and the softer sides make it easier to put the phone into the case or take it out. The silicone sides also give the phone a very nice grip, curing the slippery problem that plagues the Galaxy S4. The hard plastic back cover is very rigid and sturdy, and it will not only protect the phone against other tools or keys in your bag, it can also provide strong structural support should you drop the phone while in the case.

The Cygnett FitGrip Case has an interesting shape that we haven't seen in any other cases. It's wider near the corners of the phone and curves in to hug the sides. The design gives the phone some extra support for the corners and an ergonomic grip. It does indeed feel nice when you hold it. The Cygnett FitGrip Case covers the edges of the front display glass and elevates the glass from touching flat surface when you put the phone face down. For added screen protection, the Cygnett FitGrip Case comes with a nice film protector for free.

Features

The Cygnett FitGrip Case strikes a balance between function and protection. The case covers the side buttons under its silicone cover but has cutouts that expose the top ports including the audio jack, top mic and IR port, and the bottom ports including the sync/charge port and the bottom mic for easy access. The case has a perfect cutout for the camera and flash, and offers a black plastic ring around the cutout to avoid reflection of the flash off the case. The FitGrip also has a cutout over the back speaker that also positions perfectly.

Conclusion

With two layers of protection and strong construction, the Cygnett FitGrip Case weighs only 1.8 ounces. The shiny hard plastic back, especially in bright lime or pink colors, gives the case a striking look. We love how good the case feels in hand and its grippy sides will help you handle the phone with ease. If you're an active person and your phone might get bumped while you're mountain biking or hiking, the Cygnett FitGrip Case gives your phone the protection while not adding too much weight.
