X-Doria offers some interesting looking polycarbonate cases for the iPhone 5. These simple cover cases offer unique pattern designs in many series, and each series offers similar design theme in various colors. The Dash Icon series features textured fabrics in iconic patterns and colors including 3D-like herringbone, cube and dandelion patterns, as well as hearts prints.

The X-Doria Dash Icon case comes in a cover form that protects the iPhone 5 on the back and sides. The plastic cover is sturdy with some flexibility, and it's not super hard to take it off. The most unique feature in the design is on the back where a layer of fabric covers the plastic shell. The fabric back has texture to it and feels grippy in hand. The side of the case has just the plastic shell which is more slippery than the back. The hard plastic shell can protection the iPhone from scratches, bumps and nicks to the back and sides, and since it covers most of the corners, it should also gives the phone some shock protection. The case's sides are a hair taller than the front glass so the screen won't touch the surface when you put it face down in the Dash Icon.

The unique fabric design, which the case maker calls "puff prints", makes the case stand out and the zingy side and interior colors compliment the back prints well. The Dash Icon includes seven back cover designs, and the interior colors range from red, blue, black, pink to the lime green pictured here.

The X-Doria Dash Icon Case for the iPhone 5 is a very functional case. It covers most of the phone's sides and has a generous cutout for the side buttons (silence and volume buttons). The case covers the top of the phone as well, leaving only the power button exposed. It leaves most of the bottom side open as the audio jack, speakers, mic and the Lightning port all live there. The Dash Icon has a generous cutout for the rear camera and the flash.

If you're in the mood to get a new case for your iPhone 5 and are looking for something slim with unique back cover design, give X-Doria's entire line a look. There are some interesting back cover designs that we haven't seen in any other cases.
