We had the pleasure of joining a small army of journalists this week to tour the factory where Motorola's hot new phone, the Moto X is assembled. The Flextronics plant in Fort Worth, Texas employs more than 2,000 workers who diligently put together both stock and custom Moto Maker models that are shipping to doorsteps across the US. What's the big deal? This is the first smartphone assembled in the US.
Undeniably, the most entertaining moment was when Texas governor Rick Perry tossed his iPhone to the floor when Moto's CEO gave him a shiny new Moto X of his own. We've captured that, along with the assembly process, facility tour and more in photos and video. Do check it out!
