They're both thin Ultrabooks, so both keyboards are shallow. If you need long key travel, it's hard to find in an Ultrabook but some like the Yoga and Yoga 2 Pro buck the shallow trend (more so the original Yoga). There's less flex on the Samsung keyboard thanks to the rigid metal deck, and while I find both usable, I suspect that many would prefer the Samsung's keyboard over the Sony's. When plugged in, our Vaio Pro 13 ran the fan audibly, but not so much when unplugged. The Samsung is mostly silent. The Samsung also has stronger WiFi performance, though it lacks WiFi AC.
