I'm technologically illiterate, so any help is greatly appreciated.
I found a good deal on the Dell Venue 8 Pro and unfortunately wasn't able to get the 64 GB version. I saw on your review and a few other reviews that you only have around 9 or 10 GB of free hard drive space with the OS and Office installed.
My question is, does the Venue 8 Pro contain any "bloatware" programs that can be removed to free up space? Also, is it possible to uninstall portions of the operating system that you don't need (e.g. I think my brothers Windows 8 laptop came with a weather app, which I wouldn't need)?
Hey, you figured out how to use both red and black for your post's fonts, you're not technologically illiterate There's really no bloat per se on the Venue 8 Pro-- Dell knows it doesn't have the space or horsepower for lots of junk and they keep it pretty clean. I personally removed the anti-virus trial and went with the built in Microsoft Security Essentials and firewall. That won't gain you much space, but MS' product is easier on the CPU.
