iPad Case Review: Moshi Concerti for iPad Air Review
      #45996 - 02/04/14 11:50 AM

The Moshi Concerti case for the iPad Air is a durable portfolio style case that protects the entire tablet with splash-resistant material. It works against scratches, bumps and some drop shock, and it's easy to use. The case also works as a built-in stand that can position your iPad Air in either portrait or landscape orientation. The Moshi Concerti case currently comes in black.

Design

The Moshi Concerti for iPad Air has a very sturdy build. The portfolio style case has a hard shell tablet holder on the right that fits the iPad Air perfectly and it's easy to install the tablet in the case or take it out. Both the front and back covers have sturdy yet flexible inserts to protect the tablet from pokes, nicks and drop shock. The exterior of the case is made with splash-resistant faux leather that feels like vinyl and won't crumble under some water splashes or light rain. The interior is made with soft touch microfiber that treats the iPad Air's display kindly. Though the case offers serious protection, it doesn't add too much bulk to the slim tablet.

Features

The Moshi Concerti for iPad Air offers easy access to all ports and buttons on the tablet. The hard shell has cutouts for the side buttons, top ports as well as bottom audio ports and the Lightning port. The hard shell covers the power button with a plastic button and it's quite easy to use it while the tablet is in the case. The Moshi Concerti has a perfect cutout for the rear camera through both the hard shell and the back cover. You should have no trouble using any headphones or charging cable while your iPad Air is in the case.

The Moshi Concerti has an elastic strap built into the front cover and it can keep the case shut securely. It also offers a loop strap to hold a pen or stylus. There is a slot on the interior of the front cover and it allows you to slide your hand through it and hold the tablet. The elastic strap works as a strap that can help secure the tablet to the front cover. The front cover also supports iPad Air's auto wake/sleep feature.

Though the Moshi Concerti for iPad Air case is relatively slim for the layers of protection it offers, it does add 12.6 ounces to the weight. You might not want to hold it in your hand all the time when you use it. Luckily, the case has a built-in stand. The rotating disk on the back of the hard shell case allows you to rotate the tablet and stands it in either landscape or portrait orientation. The hard shell has ribbed feet for both positions and you can prop up the tablet in many viewing angles.

Conclusion

The Moshi Concerti for iPad Air is a very protective and very versatile case. It offers strong protection yet doesn't add too much bulk. The case offers you many ways to use the tablet including via a hand strap and a built-in stand for two positions and many angles. The case is well made and easy to use. Unfortunately for those who are looking for brighter colors, this excellent case comes in only stately black.
