AT&T Launches LTE Roaming in More Countries
      #46081 - 02/24/14 04:02 PM

At Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, ATT announced today that it has launched 4G LTE data roaming in 13 more countries, remaining the only U.S. carrier to offer 4G LTE data speeds abroad and expanding the international LTE footprint available to its wireless customers to 15 countries--with more on the way. Here are the details on the international roaming services from ATT:

In December, AT&T became the first U.S. carrier to offer LTE data roaming when it launched service in Canada. This milestone was quickly followed by AT&T's launch of LTE data roaming in the UK a few days later. Today, AT&T has expanded its international LTE footprint to now include Spain, France, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Guam, Hong Kong and Antigua & Barbuda.

AT&T is committed to providing its customers a wider global footprint to enjoy LTE data speeds. In fact, AT&T currently has agreements to allow for LTE roaming in over 200 countries.

Track as you Trek with New International Travel App

AT&T is offering an easy and convenient way for customers to monitor their wireless experience abroad.

Available for download today on the App Store and Google Play, the new AT&T International Travel App displays information about a customer's current international roaming package(s), tracks their estimated data and messaging usage and sends alerts when they approach their allotment under their plan or if they don't have an international roaming plan. Customers can even also set up their own custom alerts.

The app also includes answers to common questions about international roaming as well as one-click calling to AT&T's international customer care should customers need assistance during their travels, such as adding or modifying a package.

The AT&T International Travel App was developed, in part, at the AT&T Foundry innovation center in Israel. Since 2011, we've opened five AT&T Foundry facilities to bring new technologies like the AT&T International Travel App to market faster than previously possible.
