Logitech M330 Silent Plus Mouse Review
      #49750 - 12/01/16 06:17 PM

The Logitech M330 Silent Plus mouse is essentially the M320 mouse with a twist: the sound of mouse button clicking has been silenced. I've been using the Logitech M320 mouse as my daily productivity driver for over 2 years now and found it to be one of the most reliable everyday-job wireless mice so far. The Logitech M330 has the same build as the M320 with right-handed design, a curved base for your thumb to naturally rest on, and the same three-button setup (two mouse buttons and a middle scroll wheel click). The Logitech M330 Silent Plus comes in two color options: a unified Black and a two-tone light gray top with yellow base.

The Logitech M330 measures 4.15 x 2.67 x 1.51 inches and feels comfortable in small and medium sized hands. As mentioned, it works as a right-handed mouse. The rubber housing prevents your hand from slipping off the mouse and dimpled sides help position your hand on the mouse properly. The comfortable form should cause no hand or finger strain even with extended use. The M330 has the same 1000 DPI count as the M320, which is enough for productivity programs. The mouse feels precise and responsive. So what makes the M330 special? The mouse clicking now has over 90% noise reduction. You can still feel the mouse click and hear muted sound, but someone sitting a couple of feet from you might not hear the clicking at all. Mouse click requires slightly less force compared to the previous model as well.

The Logitech M330 works seamlessly with all major operating systems including Windows, Mac, ChromeOS and Linux. It offers 24-month battery life on a single AA battery and a power on/off switch. The mouse comes with the same wireless USB adapter, the Nano Receiver, that's included with most Logitech wireless HIDs and supports 2.4GHz wireless connection with 10 meters of range. The Nano Receiver works with your computer directly as well as via hubs, keyboards and docks that are connected to your computer.

For productivity tasks, a good mouse is a mouse that you're using yet never thinking about it because it works smoothly. Now, people around you can forget about it too because they don't hear any sound from it. If you tend to work at night, or in a library or any place where you don't want the sound of your mouse click wake up or annoy people, the Logitech M330 is one of the few available options that are affordable and reliable. The noise reduction doesn't change the comfort and the feel of the mouse. You won't lose any benefit of a good mouse in order to silence the noise. The Logitech M330 would be a good and affordable gift on anybody's list.
