IPAQ 4155 Sync on 2 PCs with Different Outlook ver
      #7736 - 01/05/04 07:22 PM

I am a long time Aero user (syncing only to 1 PC) who recently ordered an IPAQ 4155. I would like to sync my new PDA to 2 PCs. My work PC uses NT4 and Outlook 2000 SR1 Corporate and my home PC uses XP Pro and Outlook 2003. I understand that the 4155 ships with Outlook 2002. Will I have any problems syncing with the 2 different versions of Outlook? I can not change my work version and do not wish to downgrade my home version. I typically don't use my PDA for email. Is it possible to keep the work and home contacts separate?

You can sync to two PCS like I do, but you can only sync e-mail from one. Here is what to do:

Make you first partnership the computer where you would like to sync your e-mail. Make sure to check off "I want to sync with one computer"

Go to your other computer, load activsync, and when it asks about partnership, say yes, and when it asks how many computers do you want to sync with, check off two.

Thank you for your response. Does it matter that the Outlook versions are different? Can the contacts be kept separate on the 2 PCs.

I hope it worked for you Joe. As far as contacts go, I have decided to manually put them in my 2215 while also IRDA them over from my 3765. So maybe someone else could answer your question?
