Problems w/PPC Windows media player

Hello, please help..

The Windows Media Player in my Toshiba e740 plays only the sound from a video but does not show the image from the video (you can hear but not see!:(

What;s the problem?
Remedy?

Maybe the video isn't encoded in the proper format?
