When I tried to synchronize password protected Excel file, Active Sync asks for the passssword of the file and proceeds with the synchronizaion if the PW is correct. Unfortunately, the synchronized file will be saved without PW both in PC and PDA. Is there any solution to keep the PW? Thanks.

As you've noticed, ActiveSyncing won't retail passwording. Try putting the files on a card instead (SD or CF, depending on which slots your PPC has) to retain the passwording.
