Hi, I bought a used ipaq 5455. I'm about to purchase a windows mobile 2003 upgrade cd from HP and was wondering if I should try and find a system recovery cd( the unit i bought doesn't come with any software cds just whats on it)? also if anyone is familiar, The updates on the HP website for this unit, are those just for windows2002 or do those also need to go on AFTER the upgrade to 2003? thanks alot -Nik
Unlike notebooks, PDAs don't come with recovery CDs. The iPAQ does come with a CD that has ActiveSync, Outlook and additional Pocket PC software that was bundled with the unit. You won't need this CD to do the OS upgrade.
Likely, some of the updaters on the HP web site are for the PPC 2002 version, but read the readme files for the updaters and the descriptions, those should tel you.
