You could leave it in the cradle to keep it charged when you're not using it. All Pocket PCs will lose their data if left for a week or two without charging.
You could also backup the e805 using ActiveSync. That way if it got wiped out, you could use ActiveSync to restore all software and data. In addition, the Toshiba comes with a backup program that will allow you to backup all data to a storage card.
