We have the new PalmOne SD WiFi card in for review, and it only comes with drivers for the T3 and Zire 72. Given the low power spec on the Tungsten E, it seems that no one can make a card for the E that doesn't void the E's warranty. It's not a driver issue.

I can understand why you're bummed. If you've got SDIO, you expect to be able to use it for all types of cards .

On another note, I can tell you that PalmOne's new WiFi card consumes a significant amount of power (more than the SanDisk, it seems so far), and I can see why it wouldn't work on the Tungsten E.

I tried it, and it says "the card in the SDIO slot is not a palmOne supported WiFi card". So it won't work. Looks like you'll need to get palmOne's card for the T3.

Since Palm has released its drivers for the Palm Wi-Fi card, has anyone tried to get the SanDisk Wi-Fi cards to now run on, say, a T3? In other words, will the Palm drivers work with the SanDisk card on a T3?

Yes, you should be able to use your Nokia via the IR port to get on the web with the Tungsten E. That will save you some cash :-)

There are two versions of that card. The one that's Zire 71 compatible says so on the packaging and includes the Zire driver. The other one doesn't. You may have gotten the wrong version of the card.

I tried it and it didn't work.

Has anyone tried the SanDisk WiFi card with a Tungsten T5?
