just wanted to know how long a pocket-pc device takes to boot up...i heard that unlike palm devices, they take a few seconds to "boot" ...is that true?

If you mean just turning it on, that's instant, as it is with Palm OS PDAs. If you mean booting from a soft reset, that varies from model to model, but generally takes no longer than many current Palm OS models.
