Hello! I sold my ipaq 3955 on eBay, but can't seem to get all my information erased (contacts, calendar, etc.). I tried a hard reset by holding down the calendar and today buttons and pressing the soft reset button. Also tried just letting the battery die. None of those worked. Any ideas?

It can be a challenge to hit all those buttons simultaneously to erase the iPAQ, so keep trying.

I've done that about 20 times now and it's just not working. It resets, but never fully shuts down (it's like it's still doing a soft reset). Are there any other ways to delete the data?

The multi-button method or letting the battery run completely dry are the only ways to hard reset the iPAQ.

let the battery run out completely, i accidently did that, there was nothing left on it

Also: remove battery from back for a minute or longer. Then reinsert. That did it for me, alas... Cliff Moore
