HP Pavilion tx1000z with Windows Vista is now available. The new tx1000 has gotten a really impressive make-over from the last generation. Here is more info:

"The ultraportable, lightweight (just 3.95 lb.), and powerful new HP Pavilion tx1000z Notebook PC features a high-definition, 12.1" BrightView display that opens for standard use or conveniently twists for viewing files and movies in cramped spaces. The optional touchscreen converts your notebook into a tablet PC. Cloaked in HP's elegant Imprint finish, it's also packed with other optional features, including a fingerprint reader.

Windows Vista has arrived
Get things done, stay connected, and enjoy a variety of entertainment in a secure environment with Windows Vista. This series comes with Vista Home Premium, which includes Windows Aero, Windows Media Center, and instant search functionality. If you choose Windows Vista Business, you'll enjoy breakthrough enhancements at every level, from a simplified user interface and powerful search capabilities to automated data backup and better protection against spam and spyware, whether you're in the office, at home, or on the go. And if you need to seamlessly shift between play and productivity, choose Windows Vista Ultimate, which combines all the features of Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Business.

Versatile, convertible 12.1" display
The high-definition, spacious display means comfortable viewing that won't strain your eyes, yet it's super compact. Plus, you can open it like a classic notebook, twist it backward for presentations or to save space on a plane, or fold it flat like a slate. With the optional touchscreen and integrated software, you can use the included stylus (which stows on the notebook) to add handwritten notes to the screen, then convert to text.

Dual-core AMD processors
The tx1000z is equipped with powerful AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processors with HyperTransport technology, which improves system performance when running multiple applications. These processors also supply enhanced virus protection as well as PowerNow! for longer battery life.

Fingerprint security (select models)
Goodbye multiple passwords. Simply swipe your finger across the optional integrated reader on the side of the panel to log on to your tx1000z and to password-protected Web sites and documents.

Spacious storage
The tx1000z supports a hard drive of up to 200GB?plenty of room to store photos, music, and video. A CD/DVD burner is standard, with optional HP LightScribe for laser-etching your own disc labels.

Sleek-looking case
The tx1000z features the same finish as our other new Pavilion notebooks: a high-gloss, black resin with inlaid wave pattern.

Wide range of wireless options
