I am seriously considering getting a mogul soon, but I need some information from the seasoned mogul users.
1) I send a lot of text messages. Is there a way to set up a distribution group list from a select group of people out of my contact list?
2 (a) can you set up different setting profiles for example if I want to silence all sounds (ringer, messaging, touch keys) or set it for outdoor, so everything is loud. I can have it programmed to do so?
2 (b) and can i customize my own mode?
3) is this gps worth getting?
Any help will be appreciated. Hopefully tomorrow I will be one of you soon.

There's no way to create distribution lists in Windows Mobile's Messaging program
While some WinMo devices come with a Profiles application (and all MS Smartphones without touch screens have profiles), the Mogul doesn't. There are 3rd party apps for this though-- you can create and edit profiles in those apps.
When we reviewed the Mogul it didn't yet have the GPS capability. It should work well though, having used the GPS feature in similar HTC devices using the same GPS and chipset.

I have a mac at home at a pc at work. I need some of the features on the Palm Desktop software 4.2.1 (To Do List) for MAC, which is not part of the PC version. Would I have any luck (or any disaster) trying to load the Palm desktop software for the Mac onto my PC at work. I know...it sounds ridiculous, but the staff in the office really needs the features of the TODO lists for mac, since the features in the TODO or Task for PC aren't the same.(I have a Tungston E2, but don't want to hotsync with the PC...so that is not the issue.) Thanks.

The Mac version won't install or run on Windows. You do have to use the Windows version on a Windows PC. The To-Do items can sync to the Tasks in Outlook under Windows, if that helps.

I have a Mac.Powerbook G4, 12.1, 867Mhz 256/40/Super/AP, that I Purchased on April 26, 2003. I mostly used it for Games, E-Mail, using Airport Extreme. I had some problems with it over time, freezing up, having to use the power button to kill it, but probably no more than is normal with a Computer. Also, over time, I've tried unsucsessfully to get it to dialup at another location, and with the Server that I'm currently using with My Ladyfriend's PC, and I also tried Netzero, with no success. I go to the Library where I have no trouble using Their WiFi. I've downloaded, and installed lots of software, including Mac upgrades, and several Games, and when I decided to upgrade to v10.5 Leopard, I ordered it from the Apple Store Online. When it arrived, I took it to the Library, got on line, and following the instructions, inserted the disc. It didn't do what the Book said it would do, but the "Time" Gismo kept spinning, for what seemed like forever, and finally, after 15 minutes, it said it was preparing to install, but again the Time Bar, with the blue, and white stripe kept spinning, and after way too long, it froze....I tried hitting keys to force quit, force stop, and finally had to hold the power button down to shut it off. When I turned it back on, holding the Eject button, to start over, it did the same thing, I also tried it without being on line, but it didn't matter.I tried it several times, and came up with the same results evry time.. Also, I purchased the Warranty, so while that was still in effect, I took it to the Apple Store several times, and They never found anything wrong, except too many things running in the background, causing slowness.......... I'll appreciate any help solving this problem. TomSy
