I just read a link that Microsoft announced Windows Mobile 6.1 on Tuesday April 2, and thought I would post about it. It is my first post, and I did not see any operating system area on the forum.
MS also announced Internet Explorer 6 for Windows Mobile.

My new Ipaq 211 is enroute as we speak, ordered today from Buy.com for 409$ with free shipping. I understand it ships with Windows Mobile 6.0, I am wondering how easy it will be to upgrade to 6.1, and if there will be a charge for me?

As far as I know, HP hasn't made an official announcement, but I'm sure they will. The upgrade will have to come from them, since the OS is customized for each device's hardware. As to whether they'll charge-- probably there would be a fee for a CD, and a downloadable upgrade might be free.
