RX3715 Turns off by itself
      #30731 - 07/09/08 11:22 PM

The unit just shuts off sometimes for no apparent reason. My Ipaq RX3715 battery is fully charged ( charges fine , runs fine). It seems like the battery might be loose in the compartment as it turns off mostly when holding it. Like the battery connection is loose. I have checked and they are not loose. Am considering purchasing another battery even though this one seems fine, or doing a hard reset. Any thoughts before I decide?

Thanks in advance,

Julie

It does sound like either the battery connection is bad or there's a problem with the iPAQ's circuit board. If the battery isn't loose, I'd clean the contacts on both the device and battery. You can use a towel paper that's lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol or a pencil eraser. If that doesn't do the trick, then try a hard reset. If that doesn't do the trick either the device itself needs repair or possibly the battery.
