Yes you can, as far as I can remember (we sent the T-Mobile back long ago). I believe dial-up is at slow 14.4k speeds though (same is true of CDMA carriers when you use your ISP rather than the cell provider's own high speed service). You'd pay for airtime (and at 14.4k, that could mean racking up a lot of minutes). I am not a T-Mobile user, so I'm not sure if they require you to also pay an additional charge for data minutes vs. voice minutes.
