That's right boys and girls, N-Gage is finally here for the Nokia N97. Use the software update (SW Update) app in your applications folder to download N-Gage. That download is 5 megs in size, so fire up WiFi if you can.
The N-Gage application isn't particularly optimized for the N97, which means it looks the same as it does on the non-touch screen N Series S60 models and scrolling through lists of available games is best done using the scroll bar (the d-pad is kinda wonky).
Games include Age of Empires, Need for Speed Underground, Real Football 2009, Prince of Persia, FIFA 09, Start Wars, Dogz and more. The games haven't been re-designed for touch, so you'll want to use the d-pad on the N97's keyboard deck to play. As always, you can download trial versions to get an idea how well the game looks and plays on the N97.
There's also a memory update available via SW Update too, and you'd do best to install that before installing N-Gage (it's a small file and a fast download and install).
