RIM has launched BlackBerry App World in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. Today, these markets will support only free applications - but RIM is readying the paid apps as it's encouraging submissions from developers.
For those of you keeping score, BlackBerry App World is now available in 18 countries! The full list is US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Portugal ? and now Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. BlackBerry App World v1.1 also includes language support for French, Italian, German, and Spanish, and currency support for Euros, GBP, CAD, and USD where paid apps are available.
The BlackBerry App World v1.1 release and Latin America launch came as the company preparing for the upcoming BlackBerry developers conference in San Francisco this November. Developers can register now at the official web site
