      #38676 - 10/01/10 04:11 PM

ATT Navigator v1.7i (powered by TeleNav) is now live on the app store. The latest version breaks new ground when it comes to GPS navigation applications on the iPhone, with ATT Navigator being the first app to incorporate direct speech recognition. From the home screen, simply press one button and speak where you want to go (e.g. Starbucks or Las Vegas, Nevada) and the app will recognize the command and initiate a route. Here is more info along with a demo video provided by TeleNav:

Other new features include lane assist, which indicates the proper lane the user needs to be in prior to their next maneuver, red light traffic camera information to inform users of intersections equipped with traffic cameras, new OpenGL graphic animations, battery save mode and more.

Other new features in the AT&T Navigator v1.7i also include:

* Smoother 3D Navigation
* Lane Assistance
* Traffic Camera Alerts
* Background battery saver mode
* Basic multitasking
