IslandJohn has released Bee Patrol, a new flight-strategy game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with a creative take on the line-drawing genre. The game has an iPhone and iPod touch version and an iPad version, both are available now in the iTunes App Store. Here is more info on this new iOS game:
In Bee Patrol, players draw individual flight paths for a swarm of Mother Nature?s hardest workers, ensuring the survival of the bee colony. As they progress and encounter new creatures and gameplay mechanics, players can see what it?s like to live a day in the life of the little black and yellow striped stingers!
Bee Patrol uses the natural pollination cycle as an underlying theme of the game. Bees play an integral role in the ecosystem of flowering plants, so manufacturing honey is only one aspect of the game. Unpollinated flowers will wither and fade so players must make sure their bees cross-pollinate while collecting nectar on their way back to the hive. In addition, drones must avoid enemy insects, the greater forces of nature, and mid-air collisions with other bees.
- Two modes: "Worker" for survival, or "Queen" for timed - A perfect puddle world with 3 levels, and more available in the paid version! - OpenFeint and GameCenter leaderboards and achievements - Great graphics, music and sound effects
