Inkstone Software today announces MegaReader 2.0 for iOS, an update to their best-selling, customizable iOS eBook reader that gives users access to over 1.9 million free books on the Internet. Updated, it is now a universal app, ideal for running native on iPad's large screen. Featuring in-app connectivity with such book catalogs as Feedbooks, Project Gutenberg, Baen Free Books, Smashwords, and the Internet Archive, both classic and modern books may be downloaded free and stored indefinitely. Here is more info on this iPad app:
MegaReader 2.0 is the first eBook reader on the iPad that allows readers to configure the number of text columns. The user can choose from a standard 1-column book display, a 2-column magazine format, or a 3 or 4-column newspaper layout. This allows the reader to choose the layout that is most comfortable for them. It is also useful for people who wear bifocals or progressive glasses and have a limited field of vision, allowing them to read without moving their head from side-to-side when reading wide lines of text.
