Sony Ericsson announced the Sony Ericsson arc Android smartphone last week. The Xperia arc will have a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU, an impressive 8.1 megapixel camera with HD 720p video recording and image stabilizer, and plenty of connectivity including Bluetooth, WiFi, aGPS, HDMI and microUSB. The phone has a large though not huge 4.2" 854 x 480 display, a microSD card slot, a 1500mAh battery, and most pleasing news to Xperia users, it will ship with Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread!
