Sony Ericsson Learns from the Past, Unveils New Android Phones with Gingerbread

We feel for the Xperia X and Xperia 8 users who are still running on old Android versions, but news from this year's MWC show that Sony Ericsson has learned the lesson. Sony Ericsson unveiled the Xperia neo and Xperia pro, the newest additions to the new generation of Xperia smartphones, both will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Xperia pro aims to be a high-end camera phone combined with an optimized slide-out keyboard for messaging. Xperia pro introduces the subtle but fast Type & Send functionality eliminating the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, and Smart Keyboard that triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when the user slides out the keyboard.
