NVIDIA revealed their Tegra roadmap at Mobile World Congress that not only quad core technology is on the road map but devices and tablets with quad core technology will come sooner than you think: it would be available in tablets in August and phones at Christmas 2011, according to NVIDIA's announcement.
The company also demoed web browsing, gaming and a Coremark benchmark test at the show. Here is a video of the quad core running in an Android tablet. The video streamed in the demo was 1440p video content running on a 2560?1600 panel. That will enable mobile devices to output to the highest resolution monitors or tablets equipped with a 10.1-inch display with 300 DPI.
