That's right, this vintage leather case from Twelve South is called BookBook and it's a fit case for the iPad 2. Use BookBook like a typical book-style cover, or convert it to an iPad display for movie watching. The bright white iPad 2 looks particularly good in our Classic Black BookBook style. The new iPad 2 front facing camera works fine, of course. The elastic support band falls perfectly between the top of the screen and below the Front camera.
The Button-and-Tassel display system allows easy adjustment of the angle to get that perfect position for FaceTime or movie watching.
Everybody say ?Cheese!? The rear camera is behind the BookBook cover, but because we have our elastic band across the top - and not leather corners - it is easy to slide the iPad 2 up and over the top edge of the BookBook for a quick snapshot.
A new BookBook fits iPad 2 perfectly. A pre-owned BookBook, which previously held the thicker iPad, will probably have stretched corner straps. While it still works, it?s not as tight a fit as a new BookBook delivers. Some existing owners have installed padding, or even an Apple iPad Smart Cover, to help a new iPad fit in an older ?pre- stretched? BookBook. Your mileage may vary.
