What's Hot: Slim, sturdy and scratch resistance.

What's Not: Has a bit of warp on the back, needs more color options.

Belkin makes many iPhone 4 cases in different styles from a sleeve with a belt clip to a water resistant armband pouch. The Belkin Grip Vue case has the simplest design among the collection with a semi see-through material that feels smooth yet not slippery in hand. The case has perfect cutouts for both ATT and Verizon versions of the iPhone 4 and currently comes in two colors: Royal Purple and Clear.

Design

The Belkin Grip Vue is made of Themoplastic Polyurethan (TP) that feels more protective than silicone yet has some flexibility. You can easily put your iPhone 4 in or take it out of the case without worrying about pushing any buttons on the your phone. The material has a shiny surface but it?s not slippery. The material is pretty thin yet feels durable. It can certain protect your iPhone 4 from small bumps and bruises in your purse or bag, and it doesn?t scratch the iPhone 4?s surface. You can?t scratch up the case as the material is very fingernail resistant but you can grease it up pretty easily. Luckily you can wash the case with water and some soap, and it cleans right up.

While the case wrapping around the iPhone 4 in a very form fitting style, our case has a slight warp on the back and when you put your iPhone 4 on a flat surface, the warp makes the iPhone 4 rotate a bit when you swipe the phone?s screen. The case is semi see through even with the Royal Purple version, and you can see the Apple logo and iPhone branding on the back.

Features

The form fitting Grip Vue case from Belkin fits the iPhone 4 nicely. It has cutouts for the bottom ports, audio jack on top and the silent button on the side that will fit either the AT&T iPhone 4 or the Verizon version. The power button and volume buttons are covered by plastic and very functional in the case. The cutout for the camera and flash is large also and has a reinforced edge which is a very nice touch. All cutouts have smoothed out edges and won?t scratch your phone when you are using the case. The case wraps around the edges of the iPhone 4 and covers the front edges to protect the screen when you put the phone face down on a flat surface. We tried the iPhone 4 with variety of charging docks and audio accessories while in the case, the iPhone 4 fits in all of them.

Conclusion

The Belkin Grip Vue case for the iPhone 4 is a good choice for those who are looking for a slim case that?s flexible yet sturdier than a silicone case. The Grip Vue is scratch resistant, feels great in hand and isn?t slippery. The case does get greasy but you can clean it with water and soap. All cutous on the Belkin case are spot on and have smooth edges and it will work perfectly with either the AT&T iPhone 4 or the Verizon one. The case has a bit of warp on the back which moves your phone a bit when you use it on a flat surface.
